From the Seattle Times: Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating why a landing gear was improperly installed on a new 777 jet, leading to an emergency landing at Paine Field during a test flight in May.


Etihad Airways A6-ETG is towed to the Boeing ramp after landing on May 10, 2011. The crew received an unsafe gear indication while returning to Paine Field from a customer flight.
